Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Material Handler I in Richmond, VA to handle receiving, stocking, and issuing materials within the warehouse.

This role supports the Logistics Service Center and uses internal systems to track stock, while maintaining safety and accuracy in daily operations. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of related experience or 1+ year with an Associate’s Degree, proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook, and forklift/telehandler certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience with a High School Diploma / GED.
• 1+ years with an Associate’s Degree.
• Proficiency with intermediate MS Excel and Outlook.
• Forklift and telehandler experience/certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and recording data.
• Verifying inventory via physical counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Packing/unpacking items for storage and stocking shelves.
• Labeling stock with identification tags and marking tools.
• Maintaining safety and cleanliness in storage areas and comply with policies.
• Using internal systems such as Material Requisition System and Equipment Transfer System.
• Assisting in training less experienced staff when appropriate.
• Operating and coordinating material handling tasks to meet deadlines.
