Job summary

Henry Schein, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate to support receiving, putaway, and distribution within our warehouse operations.

You will verify items, break down products into selling units, rotate stock with expiration dates, and learn RF technology. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to lift up to 50 pounds; training in various distribution functions is provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verifies that items have been received correctly by matching product description, quantity, packaging unit, and expiration date (where applicable) on the putaway document or RF device, with the product received. Notes discrepancies and marks products for review by department team lead or supervisor as appropriate.


• Breaks down products received into correct selling units and puts products into correct stocking location, as noted on the putaway document or RF device.


• Ensures items with expiration dates have stock rotated accordingly.


• Must learn to utilize RF technology. If products or inventory are damaged, brings to designated damaged area in Inventory Control or calls the spill team as appropriate.


• Will also be trained in various distribution functions such as Receiving and Picking.


• Performs other reasonably related duties that may be assigned.

Physical Activities

Ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Also, may encounter various environmental conditions such as hot and cool temperatures, hazardous items, noise, and dust. May also be necessary to use step ladders to perform tasks involving climbing and reaching. May be required to work in a refrigerated environment.

Experience

Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.

Education

High school diploma or the equivalent required.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Ability to read, communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work in a team. Good problem‑solving skills. Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
