Job summary

Baxter is hiring a Material Handler I at our Cleveland, MS facility. You will be responsible for moving materials, preparing equipment for production, and supporting fast-paced manufacturing operations that rely on accuracy and timeliness.

You will work in a team-focused environment with safe work practices, handling tasks such as line clearances, inspection of components, and general housekeeping. This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and hands-on operation of manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Stand for long periods and walk frequently.
• Audiometric testing required.
• Hearing protection required.
• Climb ladders.
• Work without direct supervision.
• Read, write, count, use maintenance tools and calculator.
• Minor mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Overtime and plant shutdown/holiday availability.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Must clean and setup assembly equipment in Baxject II.
• Must startup and verify readiness of machine and support equipment prior to production.
• Must perform general housekeeping duties.
• Must stack boxes on pallets.
• Must perform line clearances.
• Must inspect parts for defects.
• Must comply with health and safety regulations.
• Must perform all other duties as directed by supervision/management.
