Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Durham, NC is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support receiving, inventory, order picking, shipping, and material movement in a fast-paced warehouse. You'll work with inventory systems and material-handling equipment to keep production on track.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, strong attention to detail, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• No prior warehouse experience required; training provided.
• Ability to stand and move actively for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Safe use of box cutters and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Pick, pack, stage, and deliver materials to manufacturing and packaging areas.
• Process Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) for distribution.
• Move materials to storage bins and staging locations following established procedures.
• Operate powered and non-powered material‑handling equipment, including narrow aisle reach trucks.
• Identify materials using part numbers, labels, and written descriptions.
• Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy.
• Use warehouse systems and RF scanners to track inventory.
• Complete data entry and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Assemble crates and apply identifying labels or tags when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
• Follow all safety, quality, GMP, and HSE procedures.
