Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler I at our Apogee Architectural Metals facility in Wisconsin. This role supports inventory control, picks, packs, and ships products, ensuring accuracy and safe handling in a metal manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, operate basic handling equipment, and enter data using a computer. Teamwork, safety, and the ability to follow SOPs are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Ability to use measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools and read blueprints.
• Ability to follow Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Data entry on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Understand warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
• Perform basic problem-solving for discrepancies in orders or inventory.
• Read and interpret work instructions and SOPs.
• Perform basic data entry on a computer.
• Maintain organization for efficient space utilization and inventory management.
• Safely lift, move, and handle materials.
• Be cross-trained to support all Material Handler I roles.
