Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to join the Apogee Architectural Metals group at the Wausau facility. You will move, track, and ship materials as part of a safety‑conscious team with a 2-2-3 shift pattern (days: 6a-6p; nights: 6p-6a) and a $2 shift premium.

The role requires basic material handling experience, the ability to read a tape measure, use hand tools, and navigate warehouse systems. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with basic material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Ability to read a tape measure and use hand tools.
• Basic computer/data entry skills and familiarity with warehouse systems.
• Ability to follow written instructions and SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials.

Responsibilities

• Receive, pick, pack, and ship materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory (cycle counts, stock rotation).
• Use warehouse systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting.
• Read and follow work instructions and basic blueprints.
