Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler I to move material such as glass and metal within the Perrysburg plant. You will load/unload from tables, racks, trucks, or crates and report to the Production Supervisor.

This role rewards accuracy, reliability and problem-solving in a production setting. The position starts at $26.70 per hour and requires the ability to read orders, follow safety standards, and measure materials with a tape measure.

Qualifications

• Experience in production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand 8–10 hours on concrete floors.
• Willing to work overtime and follow safety, quality and production standards.
• Attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Read work orders and follow job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic measurements with a tape measure.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Production Departments, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Starting Pay Rate: $26.70 per hour and the job location is in Perrysburg.

Job responsibilities include:

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
• Prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Able to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high.
• Prior work history in a plant facility that is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).
