TOPPAN Packaging Americas in DeKalb, IL is seeking a Material Handler I to support warehouse, shipping, receiving, production, and inventory operations. You will safely operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials throughout the facility, ensuring accurate receiving, storage, staging, and shipping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and shipping portals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Candidates with manufacturing experience and basic literacy/numeracy will be considered.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to speak, read, and write English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for shipment according to procedures and customer requirements.
• Verify product quantities, item numbers, labels, packaging, and shipping documentation before shipment.
• Print, review, and attach shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Stage, organize, and load outbound shipments in dock and carrier locations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record inventory movements and assist with cycle counts and warehouse audits.
• Support receiving by transporting incoming materials to inspection, staging, or storage locations.
• Supply production lines with correct materials and assist production operations.
