Job summary

IMI Norgren is hiring for an Inventory Clerk in Machesney Park, Illinois. You will prepare and maintain inventory records, ensure items are properly identified, and support production by delivering parts as needed.

The role offers a 3:15pm–1:15am Mon–Thu shift with a 10% differential, manufacturing environment, and opportunities for growth within a global engineering company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Good communication knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate computers.
• Knowledge ISO 9001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post inventory records of accepted new materials received and materials dispensed by job orders or as recorded on Material Requisition slips.
• Take periodic inventories to verify inventory records and correct discrepancies; perform spot inventories as required.
• Identify and stock bins and/or shelves with received supplies, parts, and materials in their locations.
• Weight count items for verification when issuing materials from stock and obtain Material Requisition slips for items removed from stock.
• Check inventory records on hand and notifyPurchasing when order point is reached to requisition amounts to meet minimum inventory.
• Compare packing slips with purchase orders; weight count items for verification and note discrepancies; ensure packaging has clear identifiers.
• Enter other incoming shipments in the computer after physical counts are verified.
• Handle return shipments (RMAs) to manufacturer.
• Perform data entry that assists in pickup and receiving of products requiring subcontracted services.
• Place items on mobile racks for transportation to Quality, Storeroom, and other locations.
• Inspect, color-code and inventory all metallic bar stock.
• Perform other duties as required.

Role Overview:

Prepare andmaintaininventory records of allinventorieditems.Ensure that all inventory items are properlyidentifiedand readily accessible.maintainstock and/or inventory control, andto supportproduction personnel by ensuring parts are delivered as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Usethe computer, post inventory records of accepted new materialsreceived,and materials dispensed by job orders or as recorded on Material Requisition slips.

• Handle return shipments (RMA’s) to manufacturer.

• Perform data entry thatassistsin the pickup and receiving of products requiring subcontracted services
