Sterling Site Access Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Material Handler in Lufkin, TX to manage inside warehouse and yard operations, load and unload shipments, and maintain paperwork flow. You will drive a forklift and crane, organize space, and support inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year forklift experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Position Summary: Responsible for making sure all flow traffic, inbound and outbound, have constant smooth flow and that all paper work is maintained and issued properly. Material Handler I handles the inside warehouse and yard operations.

Essential Functions:

• Within the warehouse and yard, the Material Handler 1 Operates fork truck to unload lumber, stage lumber in the warehouse, unload inbound shipments and load outbound shipments for trucks. Help drive and maintain organization of the warehouse and yard by maximizing space utilization and physically stocking products in the proper locations.
• Participate in Cycle Counting and Physical Inventories within the warehouse and yard.
• Participate in clean up initiatives in the warehouse and yard. Clean up includes activities such as picking up misc. debris from the yard to moving junk mats to the cull pile. Cleaning sawdust, painting, etc.
• Collecting all paperwork from drivers, (returns, receiving, signed BOL’s) and submit it to the receiving shack
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining, and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Complies with and is an advocate of the company’s Environmental Policy and Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient in forklift operation, ensuring safe loading and unloading of materials.
• Crane operation skills to enable safe material movement.
• Strong understanding of material flow processes to support production needs.
• Experience with routine maintenance of forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing material needs and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining focus on safety.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions with attention to detail.
• Strong focus on safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
• Effective communication skills for working closely with team members and supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Completion of company-provided safety training upon hire.
