Job description

Summary

The Material Handler will receive shipments, ensure proper placement and storage of inventory within the pharmacy, and work closely with the inventory support team following best practices for pharmacy operations.

Available Schedules:

• Monday-Thursday 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Overnight)
• Monday-Friday 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive pharmaceutical inventory from all wholesalers.
• Validate all receipts against invoices, electronically or manually.
• Stock medications according to FEFO inventory system.
• Assist with inventory audits to eliminate expired drugs.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Support the Inventory Department as needed.
• Perform general clerical duties and filing.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous inventory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to handle multiple activities and interruptions effectively.
• Effective, patient, and courteous communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and leadership.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Perform repetitive tasks accurately.
