Description

Basic Job Functions:

Engage in packaging, loading, unloading, storing, and transporting materials and products by performing the described duties. Responsible for on-time delivery and quality as it pertains to shipping functions. Ensures the correct SAP transactions are made for receipts and items issues in/out of inventory.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ months of sit-down-forklift experience being primary function within the past 4 years.
  • Qualified Industrial Equipment operator.
  • Experienced computer knowledge.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Previous experience with shipping/receiving documents.
  • Previous experience with handheld scanners is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Follow EH&S policies.
  • Participate in SWATs.
  • Perform all shipping/receiving requirements, including product packaging and shipping as directed and in a safe manner.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of C-TPAT.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment; load and unload vehicles and move material internally.
  • Maintain daily shipping/receiving activity log.
  • Transfer finished goods from manufacturing to offsite warehouse, ensuring pallet quality and integrity.
  • Perform daily/weekly cycle inventory counts and investigate variances.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, including forklifts, batteries, and related equipment.
  • Perform SAP transactions for receipts and issues.
  • Collaborate with supporting departments on inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain effective communication and promote team building.
  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures.
  • Act as courier if needed.
  • Use hand tools such as nail guns and air hoses.
  • Support the 5S program.
  • Assist in production and other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; subject to change.

Reporting Relationships:

  • This position reports to the Supervisor, Traffic/Material Handling.

Travel:

  • No travel required unless involved in plant startup, which may require extended time (60-80%) in Ohio or Alabama for training.

Estimated Salary Range:

  • $15.72 - $21.63 per hour

US Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 12 hours daily.
  • Climb stairs occasionally.
  • Lift up to 58 pounds occasionally, 37 pounds frequently.
  • Push or pull up to 27 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently.
  • Use hands repetitively for grasping, lifting, handling.
  • Require 20/40 vision (corrected) and ability to distinguish colors.
  • Reach above shoulder heights and below waist frequently.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, or bend.
  • Must wear PPE as required, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Ability to wear a respirator is required, with minimal facial hair.

Candidates must meet education and experience requirements, and successfully complete background checks and other assessments as required.
