Job summary

Travelpro Products, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Material Handler I to support daily distribution operations. You will assist with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, staging, kitting, and light assembly, ensuring accurate handling and timely movement of products within the Distribution Center.

This role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and dependable overtime when needed. You will work closely with the DC team to help fulfill customer orders and maintain a clean, organized work

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a hand pallet jack and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform distribution functions including shipping, picking, packing, labeling, receiving, kitting, and light assembly.
  • Load and unload containers and trailers by hand.
  • Stage products based on orders and organize inventory.
  • Operate a hand pallet jack and other assigned equipment.
  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.

Role Overview

The Material Handler I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting daily distribution operations, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, staging, kitting, and light assembly. This role helps ensure products are handled accurately and efficiently to meet customer and business needs. Success in the first 6–12 months includes consistently producing high-quality work, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting operational priorities. The role works closely with the Distribution Center team to keep product moving efficiently throughout the facility.


What You’ll Do


  • Perform various distribution functions, including shipping, picking, packing, labeling, receiving, kitting, and light assembly

  • Load and unload containers and trailers by hand

  • Stage products based on customer orders and assist with organizing and maintaining existing inventory

  • Operate a hand pallet jack and other assigned equipment

  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned

Working Environment


  • Distribution environment with exposure to noise and dust

  • Ability to work in uncontrolled climate conditions, including hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter

  • Ability to walk or stand for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks

  • Ability to balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach

  • Equipment used includes hand jack, shrink-wrap machine, broom, and dust pan
