Zusammenfassung

Kinder Morgan is seeking a safety-conscious driver to transport bulk scrap commodities to and from barges, railcars, trucks and storage facilities. You will operate trucks up to 100 tons, following all policies and procedures to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities include inspections, maintenance, fueling, loading and unloading, and responding to customer requests. Must hold a valid driver's license; able to work in all weather and shifts, including weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Requires valid driver’s license and knowledge of traffic laws.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions.

• Perform approved maintenance on vehicle as needed.
• Perform fueling and lubrication of the vehicle as required.
• Follow loading, traveling and dumping procedures.
• Follow startup, shutdown and lockout procedures for the vehicle.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and in working order at shift end.
• Respond promptly to customer requests for service, materials and support.
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

Responsible for the safe, efficient and quality-conscious transport of bulk scrap commodities to or from barges, railcars, trucks and storage facilities. Assure the work being performed consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the supervisor as well as published policies and procedures

What You Will Do

Operate various size (up to approximately 100 ton) construction trucks, transporting scrap and/or finished materials to and from marine dock, storage yard, receiving bins and other locations as required:

• Understand and comply with policies, procedures and guidelines for the safe operation of the vehicle
• Perform routine inspection of the vehicle prior to operation and noting any problems requiring maintenance
• Perform approved maintenance on vehicle as needed
• Perform fueling and lubrication of the vehicle as required
• Follow proper procedures for loading, traveling and dumping loads
• Follow proper procedures for startup, shut down and lockout of the vehicle
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and in working order at the end of the shift
• Promptly respond to customer requests for service, materials and support
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Need

• High school graduation certificate or equivalent is desired but not required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and have thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Must be able to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Must be able to take direction and supervision and work cooperatively with other people.
• Must be able to lift / carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a sitting position (i.e. vehicle cab) for extended periods of time.
• Requires work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be available to work all shifts and weekends.
