Job summary

Essentra is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support production operations by receiving, handling, mixing, tracking, and delivering materials. You will maintain accurate inventory records and help ensure a safe, organized workplace in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to read, write, and communicate in English. Training is provided for those without direct material handling experience, and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling experience preferred; plastics industry is a plus.
• Training will be provided for candidates without direct experience.
• Knowledge of material grades and polymer flow characteristics preferred.
• Strong math skills and ability to weigh, measure, and document materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials distributed from inventory and perform routine cycle counts.
• Mix materials according to established guidelines and specifications.
• Ensure barrel stations remain fully stocked and maintain an adequate supply of empty barrels.
• Accurately weigh materials, label containers, and enter inventory transactions into the system.
• Monitor and keep drying ovens and drying barrels supplied with material.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory levels of production and material-handling supplies.
• Clean and maintain hoppers, material lines, filters, and related equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Work overtime as required to meet business and production needs.
