Job summary

Essentra is seeking a hands-on Material Handler to support production by receiving, handling, and delivering materials while maintaining accurate inventory. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have material handling experience, forklift certification, and familiarity with polymer materials. Training will be provided where needed, and candidates must read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Previous material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Plastics industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and a positive work ethic.
• Knowledge of different material grades and polymer flow characteristics preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer skills and inventory system data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials distributed from inventory.
• Perform routine cycle counts.
• Mix materials according to established guidelines and specifications.
• Ensure barrel stations are stocked and maintain supply of empty barrels.
• Weigh materials, label containers, and enter inventory transactions.
• Monitor and keep drying ovens and drying barrels supplied with material.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory levels of production and material-handling supplies.
• Clean and maintain hoppers, material lines, filters, and related equipment.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment per company policies.
