Job summary

Prater Industries, Inc. in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a hands-on Material Handler to keep production flowing. You will receive, stock, and issue materials, maintain accurate inventory, and support finishing and shipping as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1–2 years in warehouse operations, forklift certification, and strong attention to detail. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue materials to production.
• Ensure accurate inventory processing and material receiving.
• Load/unload materials using pallets, trays, or shelves.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse space.
• Process inventory transactions and issue materials to manufacturing orders.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
• Support finishing and shipping departments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
