About the Position

The Production Associate unloads donations from containers and moves goods to appropriate production areas.

Pay Rate: $16.82-19.00/hour DOE.

Must have weekend availability.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for further processing.
• Ensure a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Operate cardboard compactors and identify issues.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices, report hazards or accidents, and support a safety culture.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• If certified: safely operate forklift per Seattle Goodwill standards.*
• Minors are not permitted to operate heavy machinery or compactors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• No prior experience necessary.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

• Forklift certification is optional and must meet eligibility requirements if applicable.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to lift and carry 30-40 pounds, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, reach, squat, push, climb ladders, and traverse various surfaces. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required, including with limited English speakers. Reliable attendance is essential.
