Job Title: Material Handler

About The Position

The Production Associate unloads donations from containers and moves goods to appropriate production areas.

Pay Rate: $21.16/hour.

Note: This job requires working outside and strong communication skills to support team members and customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for processing.
• Ensure smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Keep work environment clean.
• Follow safe work practices, report hazards or accidents.
• Build and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.
• If applicable: Operate forklift safely when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.
• Minors: Not allowed to operate heavy machinery or compactors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. No experience necessary.

Physical abilities include lifting 30-40 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, and effective communication. Reliable attendance required.

Work Environment

Outdoors and warehouse with temperature variations and dust exposure.
