Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Full Time Warehouse Material Handler I to support safe and efficient operations in the supply chain. You will perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting with stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.

The role includes on-the-job training, safety gear, and a focus on safety in a state-of-the-art environment. Night schedule Friday–Tuesday with weekly pay and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift operator license required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift.
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $20.50 per hour
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Schedule: Friday-Tuesday 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM – or until work is completed

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
