Job summary

FedEx in Fargo, North Dakota is seeking a warehouse/loader to safely operate equipment used for moving packages and heavyweight freight. You will assist with pallet buildup/breakdown and serve as liaison with ULD repair vendors when needed.The role requires physical fitness (lift 50 lbs), ability to work in all weather, and the ability to work in a noisy environment. A valid driver’s license and successful training are required; shift Tue–Sat 6:00 AM–11:00 AM, pay $18.41/hr.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs. from ground to chest level and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack them above head if required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location.
• Able to complete all basic and recurrent training.
• The ability to communicate timely and effectively in a noisy operations environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
