Job summary

Roskam Foods is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklifts, load and unload materials, and move products across the facility to ensure timely delivery.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of forklift experience; familiarity with RF Smart or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. This is an on-site, full-time position with competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage.

Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

• Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevated platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material
• Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
• Manually or mechanically, load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
• Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
• Understand and follow the order of materials for FIFO
• Forecast needs of the line and stage the line appropriately to maintain necessary materials available that allow production to run smoothly
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or material to identify causes of errors or other problems or defects and reporting then through the appropriate channels

Education/Experience/Skills/Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, Previous warehouse or forklift experience
• At least 6 months as a forklift operator
• Experience with RF Smart or Microsoft Dynamics, a plus
