Johnsonville, LLC - Material Handler/Formulation Team Member - 1st Shift

Location: Watertown, WI

Starting Hourly Rate: $25.55 (with skill blocks for extra pay upon completion)

Pay Range: $25.55 - $27.39 per hour

Hours: 5:45am - 2:30pm (end time varies depending on production needs), Monday through Friday, with some weekends required as production dictates.

Position Overview

The Formulation Department handles grinding fresh pork, adding spices, and blending to specifications for sausage making. This position focuses on chopping, chilling, and transporting fat to meet product specifications.

Responsibilities

1. Handle "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications.
2. Utilize organizational and communication skills through the FIFO process.
3. Prepare equipment using detailed checklists for inspection and assembly.
4. Perform periodic wash-downs of equipment for different products.
5. Use SAP software functions for department operations.
6. Maintain high standards of detail related to product specifications and quality.
7. Obtain and maintain forklift license and safe driving record.
8. Perform responsibilities safely and efficiently.
9. Comply with USDA regulations, GMP, and safety rules at all times.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and work toward goals independently.
11. Set personal and team goals to support The Johnsonville Way.
12. Collaborate with other Formulation and Packaging Members for optimal results.
13. Learn the Trace Lean operation and complete necessary Result Blocks.
14. Participate actively in daily meetings and project teams.
15. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
16. Meet customer needs and expectations.
17. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Experience in shipping/warehouse, forklift operation, communication skills, food manufacturing experience preferred.
