Material Handler/Formulation Team Member (Finance)

Position: Material Handler/Formulation Team Member

Shift: 1st Shift

Location: Watertown, WI

Starting Hourly Rate: $25.55 with skill blocks for additional pay upon completion

Pay Range: $25.55 - $27.39 per hour

Hours: 5:45am - 2:30pm (end time varies depending on production needs). Mainly Monday through Friday, with some weekends required as production dictates.

Position Overview

The Formulation Department is where fresh pork is ground, spices are added, and blended to specifications for sausage making. This position focuses on chopping, chilling, and transporting fat to meet product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Handle sausage products according to specifications
• Utilize organizational and communication skills through the FIFO process
• Prepare equipment using detailed checklists for inspection and assembly
• Perform periodic wash-downs of equipment for different products
• Use SAP software functions for the department
• Maintain high standards of product quality and specifications
• Obtain and maintain forklift license and safe driving record
• Perform responsibilities safely and efficiently
• Comply with USDA regulations, GMP, and safety rules
• Communicate effectively with team members and work independently towards goals
• Set personal and team goals to support The Johnsonville Way
• Collaborate with Formulation and Packaging Members to achieve results
• Learn the Trace Lean operation and complete necessary Result Blocks
• Participate in daily meetings and project teams
• Work overtime as production demands
• Meet customer needs and expectations
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• Experience in shipping/warehouse environment
• Forklift operation experience
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Food manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Demands
