Xcel Energy in Maple Grove, MN, is hiring one or more Material Handlers to support receiving, put-away, and order fulfillment activities. The role requires safe forklift operation, basic computer skills, and ability to work outdoors in a distribution environment. The starting pay is $28.91 per hour with a 7:00 am - 3:30 pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
• Forklift operator certified/preferred with experience and computer skills required.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electric and gas materials preferred.
• Must lift and carry 50 pounds; work indoors/outdoors; good physical condition.
• Able to work at heights up to 30 feet; may work extended hours and respond to after-hour emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Receive activities including unloading carrier trucks and receiving materials (stock & non-stock).
• Put away materials in assigned and random locations; fill orders for field; stage and track materials in the database.
• Load and unload material delivery trucks; process shipping paperwork; process credits of materials returned from field.
• Maintain clean work areas and operate forklifts and related equipment safely.
• Utilize various computer applications and software; comply with safety rules.
