Tate Americas is hiring a Material Handler in Abingdon, VA to ensure production lines have necessary materials. The role involves safe material movement, inventory checks, and accurate record-keeping to support efficient manufacturing.

You will verify incoming materials, store items properly, and pick materials for production while maintaining safety and quality standards. A high school diploma is required, with 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years warehouse/shipping experience required.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by performing counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and store items in designated areas.
• Fulfill production orders by picking materials from inventory and delivering to production areas.
• Perform visual inspections and report damaged items.
• Maintain records of material transactions and update inventory systems.
• Complete required paperwork and follow SOPs and safety procedures.
• Contribute to overall manufacturing workflow and team goals.
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to safety policies.
