Material Handler / Forklift Operator – Third Shift

Location: Strongsville, Ohio

Shift: 3rd Shift | 5:00p.m. – 1:30a.m.

Starting Pay: $19/hour

Area Temps is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced industrial environment where your contributions directly impact operations and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Operate Forklifts & Side Loaders: Safely maneuver materials throughout the facility. This includes climbing on and off equipment throughout your shift.
• Prepare Shipments: Use a strapping machine and handheld tools to secure steel bars and bundles for delivery.
• Overhead Crane Operation: Utilize remote-controlled or pendant-operated cranes to move and bundle steel products.
• Quality Control: Perform visual inspections and dimensional checks to ensure materials meet specifications.
• Support the Saw Department: Pull and bundle steel pieces to keep production running smoothly.

Job Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and side loaders.
• Ability to work in a physically active role, including climbing and lifting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Can pass a background check and drug screen.
