Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to receive, pick, and load materials in a fast-paced warehouse. Operate forklift safely and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and high safety standards.

You will provide basic internal and external customer service, work with teammates to fulfill orders, keep the area tidy, perform daily forklift checks, and follow all safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent is required; forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
• Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.
• Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance) preferred.
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Able to measure and calculate material lengths.
• High traffic warehouse and yard.
• Physically demanding; outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, select, and load materials
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily
• Maintain clean working area
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance)
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts
• Perform additional duties as assigned
