Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Material Handler [Forklift Operator] to receive, select, and load materials, and to operate forklifts safely in a high-traffic warehouse. You will verify order accuracy after packaging and loading, provide basic customer service, and collaborate with the team to fulfill daily orders and tasks.

The role requires basic safety instruction comprehension, physical capability for outdoor work in various weather, and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
• Ability to understand and follow safety/work instructions
• Capable of physical work in all weather conditions
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw

Responsibilities

• Receive, select, and load materials
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily
• Maintain clean working area
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance)
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts
• Perform additional duties as assigned
