Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in Springfield, MO. You will operate a forklift, load and unload building materials, and ensure accurate paperwork for distribution in a safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• One year or more forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to safely operate forklift to transport products.
• Ability to read and follow sales orders and safety instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work under pressure.
• Safe work record and stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work area.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts.
