Job summary

Techniplas is seeking a Material Handler to transport and manage materials within the production environment. The role requires operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading items, and supporting production with timely material flow.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with forklift certification or training being a strong plus. Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred, and the position emphasizes safety and 6S practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or up to six months related experience.
• Certified forklift training (sit down and stand-up).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, or other transport devices.
• Operate propane or electric-powered forklift trucks to move materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing parts.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material for transport.
• Weigh materials or products and record weight and production data.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and move them safely.
• Maintain 6S activities and keep walkways clear.
• Train new employees on proper procedures and techniques.
• Relieve other operators for breaks as needed.
