Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Material Tech to support the warehouse and shipping operations in a manufacturing environment in Kansas City, KS. You will operate sit-down forklifts, tuggers, and HiLo equipment, manage material movement, and help maintain inventory accuracy.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in a fast-paced environment, and adherence to safety standards. This contract-to-hire position offers benefits and a potential path to permanent hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous forklift, warehouse, shipping, or material handling experience preferred.
• Basic computer, math, communication, and teamwork skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights up to 25 feet, and sit or stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, tuggers, and HiLo equipment to move, store, and transport materials safely.
• Organize and stock materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and follow FIFO inventory procedures.
• Use scanners, tablets, and other electronic devices to process material transactions and document activities.
• Perform equipment inspections, maintain storage areas, support recycling efforts, and participate in inventory activities.
