Job summary

Crane Cartage LLC is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload materials, operate forklifts and RF scanners, and ensure orders are processed safely and efficiently on-site at our Kansas City location.

You will follow Crane SOPs, handle paperwork, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while meeting daily production needs. A forklift certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists/forms.

Responsibilities

• Fills client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs.
• Responsible for distribution activities in accordance with internal quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Reads and follows work orders and follows instructions to ascertain materials or container loads to be moved.
• Operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to reach truck, rider jack or similar.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift and other equipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Scans freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment.
• Completes required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
• Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
