Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. is seeking a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to pull orders, load/unload lumber and wood products, and prepare shipments in our Oregon facility. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient material movement in a busy warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or lumberyard environment preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained and certified.
• Comfortable working outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail — accuracy matters in this role.
• Dependable, team‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 50–75 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pull customer orders using forklifts, side-loaders, or other warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload building materials including lumber, plywood, and other wood products.
• Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct labeling, packaging, and stagingSafely move products throughout the warehouse and yard
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies
