Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Material Handler to support converting equipment, move products, and ensure accurate tagging and documentation. The role requires safe forklift operation, adherence to GMPs, and accurate data entry for production records.

Day-to-day tasks include packing, staging, and loading trucks with finished goods, while maintaining clean, safe work practices. The position offers a first shift with an hourly rate of $19, eligibility for benefits from day one, and opportunities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a corrugated manufacturing plant or manufacturing setting.
• Forklift experience and forklift license preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift and load/unload trucks.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and ability to follow programs.

Responsibilities

• Support converting equipment to ensure a steady supply of WIP and packing supplies.
• Move finished product to designated storage areas and to the receiving area.
• Inspect product tags and ensure correct material identification.
• Scan product and prepare it for transport to staging areas and trucks.
• Maintain accurate daily production records in the computer system.
• Follow GMPs and maintain housekeeping and safety programs.
• Participate in quality checks and AIB audit readiness.
