Job description

Material Handler/Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift
  • Full‑time

We are seeking a skilled and safety‑conscious Material Handler/Forklift Operator with experience using RF (Radio Frequency) scanners to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the facility while ensuring accurate inventory tracking using RF scanning equipment.

2nd Shift – Must be available to train on 1st shift for 2‑3 weeks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate sit‑down forklift to move products and materials throughout the facility.
  • Use RF scanners to accurately scan, put away, receive, pick, and ship inventory.
  • Load and unload trailers, stage materials, and transport goods within the warehouse.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance issues.
  • Ensure proper product labeling and placement based on warehouse standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and transactions.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and warehouse protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Support general warehouse duties such as packing, labeling, and organizing materials.
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Perform oil railcar, raw, or product sampling as required with supervision.
  • Move pallets of product in system.
  • Regularly accomplish environmental waste/sludge activities to transfer intermediate waste to bulk storage containers.
  • Perform a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned or qualified for as material handler.
Mandatory Overtime May Be Required Some Weeks
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–2 years forklift operator experience required.
  • Equipment/Software Skills: Proficient in onsite forklift testing and evaluation; experience with RF scanners and warehouse systems; basic computer knowledge; experience in fast‑paced warehouse/distribution/manufacturing environments; knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS); bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Actively participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow written procedures, policies, and work instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Produce clear and accurate documentation related to inventory, shipping, and operational activities.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, learning and performing multiple roles, filling in for temporary or permanent vacancies as needed.

The physical requirements are: ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work at heights required.
