Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a Forklift Driver / Material Handler for the production area on a Sunday-Thursday night shift (10:00pm-6:30am) with occasional weekend work and overtime. Responsibilities include forklift operation, loading trucks, inventory handling, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications include forklift certification, experience in a manufacturing setting, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be trained and certified on the forklift.
• Trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling.
• Proficient in the operation of the stretch wrappers.
• Must be proficient with a forklift on all operations lines.
• Load trucks in the prescribed manner.
• Must demonstrate the ability to complete and make changes to pick sheets.
• Communicate with visitors and customers in a professional manner.
• Must have basic operational knowledge of roll up doors.
• Must be able to understand the inventory procedure.
• Trained and able to demonstrate pallet transfer operations.
• Must demonstrate the ability to reconcile finished product.

Responsibilities

• Operate a motorized forklift and support material handling tasks.

Forklift Operator in Production area

The Forklift Driver / Material Handler tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

1. Must be trained and certified on the forklift.
