Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1–3 years of experience in material handling or operating a forklift.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Crane license required for Punch Cell roles.
• Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize internal customer needs.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Understand Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
• Read/write/comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
• Identifies material types and proper disposal of scrap.
• Operates equipment for material handling: radios, scanners, trash compactor, and cardboard baler.
• Maintains a clean, orderly area; aisles clear, parts stocked in posted locations.
• Fills out daily checklist and completes visual inspections.
• Keeps supplies adequately stocked for team’s daily needs.
• Responds to team requests in a timely manner.
• Uses JDE Kanban functions (send Kanban cards, track status/history).
• Utilizes all programs for communication of supply needs.
• Models Team Member Behavior and Henny Penny core values.
• Other duties as assigned.
