Job summary

Astec is seeking a warehouse associate to handle materials, sort, deliver, and store parts in accordance with the production schedule. You will make independent decisions with guidance to ensure timely movement of materials to production locations.

You will pull materials, load/unload, operate equipment to move freight, inspect forklifts and cranes, and maintain accurate inventory. A safety-first mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Forklift knowledge is a plus.
• Computer literacy and basic file/navigation skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Pull materials to fill orders.
• Transport heavy material using a forklift.
• Verify items and quantities on packing slips.
• Package materials for shipping to internal and external customers.
• Maintain inventory levels by labeling, stocking, and recording materials.
• Use inventory computer system and cycle count inventory as requested.
