Job summary

DPR Construction in Raleigh is seeking a Material Handler to support the efficient movement and storage of materials. Following established procedures, you will ensure materials are handled, documented, and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

As part of the team, you will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, conduct routine inventory, and escalate discrepancies when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• 2-4 years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or a related field required.
• Valid forklift operator certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects, and accurately records incoming materials in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
• Transports materials to designated storage or production areas using approved equipment, following all safety and operational guidelines.
• Picks, packs, and stages materials for shipment or internal use, ensuring order accuracy and timely processing.
• Conducts routine inventory counts and reconciles discrepancies, reporting issues to leadership for resolution.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas, promptly addressing spills or obstructions to ensure a safe environment.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as authorized and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Identifies and escalates equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or process inefficiencies to leadership for timely resolution.
