Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard.

You will follow work orders and instructions to move items, using hands or tow motors, while recording metrics and maintaining inventory. The role requires 1–2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment, forklift or tow motor experience, and the ability to obtain certification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to obtain forklift/tow motor certification.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks or shelves by hand or using tow motor.
• Move materials within the plant, yard or work site per work orders and verbal instructions.
• Record daily material handling metrics and maintain inventory of packing materials and finished goods.
• Assist with shipping or receiving as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
