Job summary

Printpack is seeking a Material Handler to ensure safe, efficient movement of materials—raw, WIP, and finished goods—across the plant while keeping accurate inventory records and supporting production operations.

You will operate forklifts, perform safety inspections, load/unload shipments, and maintain storage areas, using handhelds and WMS. A high school diploma is preferred; forklift certification is required or obtainable. This on-site role may include night shifts with a $2.50/hr premium.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehousing a plus.
• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain forklift certification).
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to read and understand production schedules.
• Mathematical skills for inventory counting.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Understanding of safety protocols.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and document results.
• Load and unload trucks according to schedules.
• Store and retrieve pallets and document inventory locations.
• Stage materials according to production schedules.
• Move WIP pallets between machines and rack storage.
• Maintain organized storage areas and rack numbering.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain records.
• Complete safety checklists and logs.
• Maintain cleanliness via 5S practices.
• Contribute to Printpack’s Continuous Improvement Program.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
