Position: MATERIAL HANDLER

Department: Valley DC

Responsible for transporting raw materials, work in process, and finished goods throughout the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading transport trucks.

Operate traditional forklift and extended reach forklifts in a distribution center.

Unload finished goods from trailers and place in storage racks.

Load finished goods based on customer orders.

Use the warehouse management system for locating goods in the storage racks (for both putting away and pulling orders).

Requirements for Success:

• GED/High school diploma
• Two years material handling experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Ability to read/write to complete forms and communicate simple instructions
• Ability to follow a sequence of steps in tasks

Qualifications:

• Proven safety, quality, and productivity standards
• Experience with extended reach and stand-up forklifts preferred
• Accurate manual input into warehouse management system
• Understanding of WIP, finished goods, and inventory accuracy
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and loading procedures
• Familiarity with warehouse locations and labeling
• Some computer skills
