Job summary

Specialty Building Products in Marshall, MN is hiring a Material Handler to support shipping, receiving and stocking in a fast-paced warehouse. You will work on a team, help others, and follow safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.

The starting wage is $20.00 per hour for 1st shift (6:00am–5:00pm CST). Required: High School Diploma and 1–2 years warehouse experience, plus ability to operate a forklift and use a handheld scanner.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years warehouse experience preferred.
  • Neat and clean appearance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Scheduled shift: Mon–Fri, 6:00am–5:00pm CST.

  • Report shortages or damaged material.
  • Use handheld scanner for receiving, picking and loading.
  • Band, wrap and prepare material for shipping.

Job description

Amerhart, an SBPBrand, is currently hiring for Material Handlers to join our Values based organization to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical. this role will be based in our Marshall, MN facility.

Starting Pay Wage of $20.00/hour.

1st Shift hours are from 6am - 5pm CST

In this role you will focus on:

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
  • Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
  • Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc.
  • Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
  • Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
  • Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
  • Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
  • Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.
Performance of Miscellaneous Functions
  • Fill orders for incoming customers.
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
  • Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience required with some experience in a distributorship preferred.
  • Neat and clean appearance.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to work scheduled shift: Mon - Friday. 6:00am - 5:00pm CST.
