Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler for our Marshall, MN facility to support shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse materials. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accurate order fulfillment on a 1st shift from 6am to 5pm CST.

Starting pay is $20.00/hour with benefits and opportunities for growth within SBP's network of brands. The position requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and replenish product in the designated warehouse locations.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Report shortages or damaged material and coordinate with sales as needed.
• Use handheld scanner for receiving, picking, loading, and cycle counting per WMS processes.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and participate in cross-training.

Job description

Amerhart, an SBPBrand, is currently hiring for Material Handlers to join our Values based organization to perform all duties associated with shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. As a member of the Operations team, offering to help others when the workload demands, treating teammates with respect and care and performing work in a safe manner according to safety policies and procedures is critical. this role will be based in our Marshall, MN facility.

Starting Pay Wage of $20.00/hour.

1st Shift hours are from 6am - 5pm CST

In this role you will focus on:

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Unload common carrier trucks and railroad cars and replenish product in the designated location in the warehouse.
• Pick orders using a forklift until the order is completely filled.
• Report any problems such as shortages or damaged material, etc.
• Inquire with sales team member when orders cannot be shipped as ordered and make changes as directed by sales.
• Use handheld scanner when receiving product, picking orders, loading trucks and cycle counting in accordance with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes.
• Collaborate with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Coordinator on questions and updates.
• Band, wrap and prepare material for safe shipping.
• Arrange orders on trucks according to safe weight distribution practices.
• Follow safety procedures and policies when performing warehouse duties.

Performance of Miscellaneous Functions

• Fill orders for incoming customers.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning warehouses/yard.
• Inspect the forklift prior to daily operation to avoid equipment problems and malfunctions in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Cross train and back-up others in warehouse.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years warehouse experience required with some experience in a distributorship preferred.
• Neat and clean appearance.
• Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
• Must be able to work scheduled shift: Mon - Friday. 6:00am - 5:00pm CST.
