Job summary

KURZ USA in Lexington, NC is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient material flow across storage and finishing areas. You will transport raw materials to finishing machines and move finished products toward shipping, while maintaining accurate inventory in the warehouse system.

Safely operate pin lifts and forklifts, perform cycle counts, and communicate with finishing schedulers and machine operators to keep production on track.

Qualifications

• Experience operating pin lifts and forklifts.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and ensure stock accuracy.
• Capable of communicating with schedulers and machine operators to maintain production flow.
• Adheres to OSHA safety standards while working in a potentially hazardous environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials between storage and finishing machines.
• Receive deliveries and locate/store materials from STO trucks and containers.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and update inventory records.
• Communicate with finishing schedulers and machine operators to maintain efficient operation of finishing machines.
• Operate pin lifts and forklifts safely and efficiently on the floor.

Job description

The Material Handler ensures efficient material flow by transporting materials between storage and finishing machines, receiving deliveries, managing inventory through a warehouse system, and performing stock accuracy checks.

• Efficiently move raw materials from storage to finishing machines and finished products from machines to shipping or storage.
• Safely operate pin lifts and forklifts to maneuver materials.
• Locate and store materials from deliveries (STO trucks and containers).
• Perform cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and reinforce material traceability (ensuring materials are tracked in the system).
• Communicate effectively with finishing schedulers and machine operators to maintain efficient operation of finishing machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
