Job summary

Kurz Transfer Products in Lexington, NC is looking for a Material Handler to ensure smooth production flow. You will move raw materials from storage to finishing machines, receive deliveries, stock inventory, and perform cycle counts using a warehouse system.

You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and a portable scanner, coordinate with finishing schedulers and machine operators, and uphold OSHA safety standards while maintaining accurate digital records in SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of material handling experience; manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift experience and SAP/MS Office familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials between storage, finishing machines and shipping/ storage.
• Receive deliveries and manage inventory through a warehouse system.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and reinforce material traceability.
• Communicate with finishing schedulers and machine operators to maintain efficient operation.

Job description

The Material Handler ensures efficient material flow by transporting materials between storage and finishing machines, receiving deliveries, managing inventory through a warehouse system, and performing stock accuracy checks.Efficiently move raw materials from storage to finishing machines and finished products from machines to shipping or storage.Safely operate pin lifts and forklifts to maneuver materials.Locate and store materials from deliveries (STO trucks and containers).Perform cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and reinforce material traceability (ensuring materials are tracked in the system).Communicate effectively with finishing schedulers and machine operators to maintain efficient operation of finishing machines.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesCollaboration: Works independently.
