Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to safely move, store, and distribute materials to support production schedules in a manufacturing setting. You will work with forklifts, pallet jacks, and inventory systems to maintain accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities include receiving and staging materials, coordinating with production, and ensuring timely delivery to lines while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience in material handling or warehousing in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management procedures.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents and material specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store and distribute materials, parts and products to designated areas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production lines in a timely and accurate manner, including kits.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as needed.
• Collaborate with various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure material, parts and product needs.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
