Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Sylacauga, AL is seeking a Material Handler to move materials across the stamping facility. You will perform shipping/receiving duties, inspect materials, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure cargo is secured for transport.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred certificates include forklift and overhead crane.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering materials and supplies.
• Counts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or records.
• Ensure product meets standards, not damaged, and communicate with shipper to rectify deficiencies.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies.
• Secure cargo properly and safely with weight distributed for transport.
• Drive company vehicle when necessary and fill orders; document transactions and manage storeroom inventory.
