Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support stores and customers by unloading, loading, warehousing, and staging merchandise throughout the Distribution Center.

If you enjoy a fast-paced, physical role, this position offers opportunities to move up and work with manual and mechanical equipment in a climate-controlled facility. You will ensure safety, handle inbound and outbound freight, and optimize storage locations while maintaining production and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or some high school.
• Adaptable to change by working within different departments.
• Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and work record.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Ability to operate manual and automated pallet jack equipment as well.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment by keeping safety a top priority.
• Sort, warehouse, stage, and load/unload cartons in an accurate, safe, and efficient manner.
• Unload inbound freight/load outbound freight.
• Separate and load freight on unpacking lines.
• Stage outbound freight in shipping.
• Receive and warehouse incoming merchandise into module racks and floor locations.
• Pull merchandise from racks or move merchandise to open areas for pulling and distribution in replenishment department.
• Replenish and condense merchandise into most effective locations for order pulling in replenishment department.
• Operate manual and/or mechanical equipment in a safe and effective manner and maintain proper certifications.
• Ensure production and quality standards are met.
• Be open to performing other duties as assigned.
